Engine
A 2,992 cc (3.0 L) twin-turbo 120° V6 engine with a maximum output of 488 kW (654 horsepower; 663 PS) at 8,000 rpm and a 123 kW (165 hp; 167 PS) electric motor combine to power the 296 GTB. It states that the system output is 610 kW. (818 hp; 829 PS). A high-voltage accumulator beneath the floor with a 7.45 kWh (26.8 MJ) energy capacity allows for a 25 km electrical range (16 mi). The sports car can reach a high speed of over 330 km/h after accelerating to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds (205 mph).
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
With the exception of the steering wheel, the 296GTB’s interior is a study of sophisticated minimalism. An ergonomic nightmare is caused by its overabundance of controls. A completely digital interface that was adapted from the SF90 is the only other element of the dashboard. Italian leather covers the seats and other interior surfaces of the GTB, showcasing the coupe’s opulent side. The central console has a push-button shifter modeled by the gated mechanical Ferrari gearboxes of yore. The center console also has a small storage area for the GTB’s ignition key. Also subtly incorporated into the center of the dash is a head-up display.
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Ferrari’s powertrain warranty is less extensive than that of many mainstream automakers, but it is still competitive with that of Lamborghini McLaren, and other supercar manufacturers. But unlike those two competitors, Ferrari additionally offers a staggering amount of maintenance at no additional cost.
- Three years and maximum miles are covered by the limited warranty.
- The powertrain is covered by a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
- Unlimited miles and seven years of free maintenance
Connectivity and Infotainment
There is no conventional entertainment system in the 296GTB. Instead, the digital gauge cluster includes features for the navigation and audio systems. Unfortunately, we discovered that the system was fairly difficult to operate. A digital display is provided to the passenger, which Ferrari claims means to give them the impression that they are the co-driver.
Variants
- Assetto Fiorano– The 296 GTB’s track-focused variant is the Assetto Fiorano.
- GTS-The 296 GTS is a 296 GTB open-top model with a foldable hardtop. Operation of the top takes 14 seconds, and it is possible to move at speeds of up to 45 km/h (28 mph).
