Suicide Squad 2023

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a coming action-adventure game released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Rocksteady Studios. It will be available for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in early 2023. It is the fifth actual game in the Batman: Arkham series and the first without Batman as the primary character. The titular band of super-criminals is formed by Amanda Waller and dispatched to Metropolis to confront the alien invader Brainiac and destroy the Justice League members that have been brainwashed by him.

Enter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, an action-adventure third-person shooter from Rocksteady Studios, the team behind the highly lauded Batman: Arkham series. It defies genre conventions. This game offers a unique gaming experience by fusing the studio’s recognizable personality story gameplay with third-person shooter action.

Learn about the beginnings of Amanda Waller’s notorious Task Force X, often known as the Suicide Squad, as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark reluctantly set out on their quest to eliminate the Justice League, the World’s Greatest DC Super Heroes. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has a unique storyline set in the huge open-world city of Metropolis and pits the four DC Super-Villains against an extraterrestrial invasion force as well as DC Super Heroes who are now pulsed on destroying the city they once swore to defend. The Suicide Squad must remain vigilant at all times since deadly explosives have been implanted in their heads and could detonate at the first sign of disobedience.

Every squad member has a special set of moves that they may use to freely explore Metropolis’s dynamic open world. They also each have a selection of weaponry they can personalize and talents they can learn. Fans can customize their experience by participating in a multiplayer co-op or playing solo as a single-player.

Premise

The game takes place sometime after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight, in the setting established by the Batman: Arkham trilogy. Amanda Waller (Debra Wilson) forms the Suicide Squad, which includes Arkham Asylum inmates Harley Quinn (Tara Strong), Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark (Samoa Joe), for a covert operation in Metropolis. They only comprehend the gravity of the situation when they get in town: Brainiac has infiltrated Earth and begun brainwashing its citizens, including Justice League members Superman, The Flash, and Green Lantern, with Wonder Woman being the only visible member who is not under Brainiac’s control. It is up to the Suicide Squad to save the world by killing the Justice League and stopping Brainiac because they are unable to rely on any other heroes for assistance.

Development

Geoff Johns, who was then the chief creative officer of DC Comics, first revealed a video game based on the Suicide Squad in July 2010. He clarified that the game was in development in February 2012, stating that “Because of the idea, any of the main characters in the game may actually perish, and it wouldn’t be a stunt. The creation of the Suicide Squad was hinted at in the post-credits scene of Batman: Arkham Origins (2013), which was developed by WB Games Montreal, as well as in Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (2014), which saw Deadshot and Bronze Tiger join the squad with Bane under discussion.

Since the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, there have been rumors that WB Games Montreal is developing a Suicide Squad game, but neither the development team nor the publisher has made an official declaration. The game was shelved, as Jason Schreier of Kotaku disclosed in December 2016.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch in August 2020, according to Rocksteady Studios. Rocksteady, the company behind the Batman: Arkham games, first denied rumors that they were developing a Superman-themed game. On August 22, 2020, the DC FanDome hosted the world premiere of the game’s initial trailer. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will continue certain plotlines from Batman: Arkham as it takes place in the “Arkhamverse.” Unbroken Studios, a firm based in Los Angeles, is working with Rocksteady to produce the game.  Rocksteady revealed on March 23, 2022, that the game’s intended 2022 launch window has been moved to early 2023.
