Wear OS 3

New 2024 Google Wear OS 3 – (Updated): Price & Full Specs – Montblanc may be the first manufacturing company outside of Samsung to release a smartwatch operating Wear OS 3, the latest version of Google’s wrist-worn operating system, on July 15th for €1,250.

The Summit 3 is priced similarly to its previous smartwatches, and its priority is more on being a fashion item than pushing the limits of what a smartwatch is capable of. When it goes on sale globally on July 15th, it will cost €1,250 (approximately USD 1,314).

Wear OS 3 is Google’s most significant update to its smartwatch operating system in years. Still, it’s currently only available on two Samsung smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch Four and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, released last year. We have yet to test the software without adding Samsung’s apps and services. Better battery life, faster load times, and smoother animations are among the promised advantages of Wear OS 3 over Wear OS 2.

Google Wear OS 3 2024: Which Smartwatches Get The New Version

The Wear OS 3 has been entirely redesigned by Google, which has resulted in numerous software changes. Therefore, Wear OS 3 won’t come to your wearable if it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset or earlier models. We hope this is true, but several reports indicate Google might increase the software support for the Wear OS 2 version for these products.

So, who then receives the Wear version? Since the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 is the most recent wearable SoC on the market, Wear =can be installed on any wearable device that uses this hardware. A few smartwatches are compatible with Wear, including models from Fossil and Mobvoi.

More Wear watches are on the way, but it’s unclear when they’ll be available. The software will be available on Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch and future premium Fitbit devices. Later this year, Mobvoi and Fossil will release updates for their existing Wear OS 2 smartwatches. A recent tweet from Fossil’s support account speculated. That Wear would be available for its watches in June or July, but the tweet was later removed. Fossil has yet to make an official announcement.

Step tracking, sleep monitoring, blood oxygen measurement, and workout tracking are all supported. Google Maps provides navigation, Google Pay accepts payments, and Google Play allows. You can download additional apps. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus processor powers the watch.

Each Summit 3 smartwatch has two straps: one leather and one rubber. The Summit 3 is available in silver titanium (with black leather and a blue rubber strap). Black titanium (with black leather and rubber straps) and a combination of the two (with a green leather strap and a black rubber strap).

Finally:

The apps are now available in tiles, similar to what you’d find on smartphones running Android 11 and later. Smartwatches, Google News, Calendar, and even the Alarm app appear as tiles on this version. With Google OS 3, Google also makes it easier to navigate between apps on the smartwatch and shows you which apps are running in the background.

Fitness is a critical component of Google’s wearable strategy, as evidenced by its acquisition of Fitbit. As a result, we anticipate that the New 2024 Google Wear OS 3 – (Updated): Price & Full Specs will include a native Fitbit app with enhanced user features.
