Rumours about this are happening in the net world, and the range of interest is also expanding continuously. Prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report lends much credence to earlier rumours of a 20.3-inch foldable MacBook Air.
This upcoming device is expected to be a mix between Mac and iPad. Or will it change the simple physical keyboard to a fully touch-based interface that remains to be seen? The exciting possibility is that ensuring the reliability of software-based input systems is also an important consideration.
A recent paywalled Digitimes report also speculated that Apple will explore several foldable device projects in the future. This report shows Apple has worked on this project for five years.
Kuo’s speculation adds credence to the rumours of an Apple 20.3 Inch Foldable Macbook Air backed by renowned analyst Ross Young.
However, such an advanced form factor may require some deviation from the typical physical keyboard setup. Again, it’s also worth noting that not offering an optional physical attachment for the keyboard would create mixed feelings among users. Whether Apple will solve the software-based input by ensuring customer satisfaction and utility remains to be seen.
According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we also got the same information, which shows that Apple is interested in launching a foldable device with a 20-inch display. Still, it could be in the distant future, around 2026 or 2027.
Ming-Chi Kuo uses pseudonyms when describing future products, and his rumours tend to be far from accurate. However, there is disagreement over whether the upcoming Apple 20.3-inch Foldable Macbook Air display will be named the MacBook. It is also rumoured to have a different Liqueur called the Revegnus, which is a 20.25-inch foldable.
