5 Best PS5 Controller 2024 Review, Price, Full Specs & Release Date
If you are a gamer, choosing the best PS5 controller is easy. The new standard Sony DualSense controller introduces some truly impressive new-gen features. Although it was introduced alongside consoles some time ago, developers are still finding innovative ways to use it. A mark above the typical gamepads we’ve seen in the past and perfect for showing off what the PS5 can do.
If you want something a little extra, the choices are endless. When searching for the best controller, you should consider what you want it to be. The ‘Pro’ controller will likely benefit from fans of competitive shooters or fighting games.
They only had extra buttons and back paddles that saved you precious seconds for multiplayer battles. If you don’t, consider which controllers slightly improve DualSense’s battery life or offer more customization.
Don’t be put off by the build quality, though. A cursory look across the Internet will reveal many gamepads from unknown third-party manufacturers. They can make better things. But what about your shiny new-gen console playing with a glorious lump of plastic?
So, there is no reason to worry. Fortunately, we’ve done a bunch of testing and distilled some of the best PS5 controllers out there, giving you the best Five PS5 controllers with full features. You can carefully see them in our entire post.
5 Best PS5 Controllers in 2024
1. Sony DualSense
DualSense is a PS5 accessory that is included with the console. We think this is one that most of us will undoubtedly be able to buy more than once. With DualSense, games become more immersive while adopting haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Also included are game mechanics.
There is no real replacement form of DualSense in first-party exclusive games as they are designed to be played with it. If you don’t mind, the back button and competitive customization features. But for you, the DualSense Edge is a premium controller without them.
DualSense’s haptic feedback is an evolution of Rumble that gives you a highly tactile, specific game feel on titles that support it. Adaptive trigger resistance could offer some interesting gameplay angles if well-supported. However, it’s a shame its level of fine-tuning ability isn’t the easiest to do without the more expensive Edge models.

2. Sony DualSense Edge 2024
The DualSense Edge is Sony’s first homemade pro controller. It offers several quality-of-life updates over the original DualSense. PlayStation’s first official Pro gamepad isn’t quite what we expected, but it’s still one of the best PS5 controllers.
There is complete software to fine-tune to your liking. After all, there seems no better way to enjoy Sony’s homemade games than with Sony’s first homemade pro controller.
The two back button fastenings are extremely comfortable and work well. Rounded corners at the bottom of the grip and a heavyweight. Makes it feel much more premium and ergonomic in the hand than the original DualSense.

3. Victrix Pro BFG 2024
This is undoubtedly one of the best PS5 controller lists of 2024. Because it is designed with elite performance in mind. The four buttons on the back of this controller are nicely designed and well-placed. Although similar to the pedals found on first-party controllers, the Victrix Pro BFG is tactile and comfortable. Also, it can make the highly usable buttons feel great.
If you play competitively in an online multiplayer game, be it a first-person shooter or a fighting game, this is expected to be the best controller for you. The Victrix Pro BFG is cheaper than other PS5 Pro controllers on the shelves right now and offers the best value for money in terms of competitive features.

4. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro 2024
The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro doesn’t quite capitalize on its potential, but it’s still one of the best PS5 controllers on the market. With six extra buttons compared to a regular DualSense, the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro has the most extra buttons of any controller on this list.
The Wolverine V2 Pro has four back buttons and two additional bumpers. If you have larger hands or feel like a more substantial Xbox controller, the Wolverine V2 Pro is for you.
This makes it a great alternative for those who prefer the traditional Xbox controller design philosophy. Also, the Wolverine V2 Pro offers a great battery life that can be extended further by turning off the fancy RGB chroma lighting on the face of the gamepad.
