Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro Hands-On Video Leaks

Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro Hands-On Video LeaksNothing the tech disruptor led by Carl Pei has carved a niche with its transparent design and playful LED Glyph Interface. With the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro reportedly launching soon the brand aims to redefine the mid-range market. Here’s a breakdown of what these phones might offer—and whether they’re worth the hype.

Both models will likely retain Nothing’s signature clear back panel, but leaks suggest the Glyph Interface gets an upgrade. The standard (3a) may feature more LED segments for customizable lighting patterns while the (3a) Pro could debut interactive glyphs that respond to notifications, music and alarms. Durability improvements, like IP54 rating, are expected, though the Pro might push for IP67 to justify its premium tag.

Display:

The (3a) series is rumored to pack 6.7-inch OLED screens with 120Hz refresh rates—a first for Nothing’s “a” lineup. The Pro model could boast a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, ideal for outdoor use, while both might adopt thinner bezels for a sleeker look.

Performance:

The standard (3a) may run on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, balancing efficiency and gaming prowess. The (3a) Pro, however, could leap to a Dimensity 8300 Ultra, rivaling flagship speeds. RAM options might range from 8GB (3a) to 12GB (Pro), with storage starting at 128GB.

Camera: Low-Light Leap

Nothing’s camera game is evolving. The (3a) could inherit the Phone (2)’s 50MP main sensor, paired with AI-enhanced night mode. The Pro might add a 64MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom—a rarity in mid-range devices—and improved video stabilization for creators.

Software: Nothing OS 3.0 Cleaner & Smarter

Both phones will likely debut Nothing OS 3.0, a minimalist Android skin with bespoke widgets and AI-powered app suggestions. The Pro could unlock exclusive features, like Glyph Composer for creating custom light-and-sound pairings.

Battery & Charging

5,000mAh battery is expected for both, but the Pro might offer 65W wired charging (vs. 45W on the (3a)). Wireless charging could remain a Pro-exclusive perk.

Price

Rumors point to a $399 star price for the (3a) $Pro undercutting rivals like the Pixel 8a. A July 2024 launch seems plausible, with pre-orders including free Ear (2) earbuds.

  • Phone (3a): Perfect for design lovers wanting Glyph flair without breaking the bank.
  • Phone (3a) Pro: Ideal for power users craving flagship-tier performance and camera chops.

If Nothing nails pricing and polish, the (3a) series could disrupt the mid-range market—again.
